You Should Never Pay To Submit Your Website To Search Engines

You Should Never Pay To Submit Your Website To Search Engines

You should never pay to submit your website to search engines online… why would you? It will not increase traffic to your website. It’s the job of search engines to crawl your site and search for relevant webpages. This will increase traffic to your website. The service they provide for you is free. If for some reason they don’t crawl your site, then that means you are not relevant enough yet. There are plenty of websites listed in search engines that basically get no website traffic. There are millions of web pages that you and I will never see.

Websites do not become relevant or even searchable once you post really great content. If that were the case, then webmasters would only have to focus on creating really great and unique content. In a perfect world, that would be awesome. In the real world, your job doesn’t stop at simply creating great content. The internet is all about networking and links. If you don’t like to network with others, then websites may not be your thing. Seriously. I mean think about it… isn’t the internet the one great thing that brings people together from all walks of life from all over the world? It allows you to reside somewhere in NJ and yet have a conversation with someone from Africa or Europe. Before the internet, there was no way of actually meeting people from these parts of the planet unless they visited where you live or you took a long trip and met them in person.

Once the internet was created, the world changed forever. It’s simply amazing. I can log onto my computer at any time and log into a social network and viola! I can randomly have a conversation with someone who lives on the other side of the planet!

Let Spiders Crawl Your Site Before You Submit To Search Engines.

Search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing take links into high consideration when indexing your site. If you have friends that own blogs, then ask them to put your websites link on their site. You can even exchange links with them. If they already have a somewhat popular website, the chances are that the Google Bots actively crawl the site often. Once they pick up that your links are placed on the website that they crawl, they will become of aware of your content and know that your site needs to be crawled. That’s the best way to get found by search engines.

If you submit your website on your own, the robots still become aware of your site but they won’t become aware of your backlinks that you have posted on other sites yet. The reason why this is a problem is that even though they know your content exists, they also know that your content doesn’t have any juice. Websites without juice can’t make it in the search engine world. They simply won’t make it to any top pages in the search engine.

Submitting your website also takes time. That’s time you could be using to improve your content, add more content, or promote your website somewhere else. Paying someone to get listed makes absolutely no sense in my opinion because it won’t help you significantly enough. Everyone’s job as an effective webmaster is to produce awesome content and then promote it in all ways possible. Some great places to promote your blog that you may already be aware of are Google Plus, Facebook, YouTube, Tagged, Myspace (yes, even still Myspace), LinkedIn, Twitter and just about every other relevant website on the net. Most of these places won’t supply you any juice but that’s not why you are promoting it there. You are trying to get visitors to see your content and make your content as viral as possible.

You Can Submit Your Website For Free

There are other places you can go to for backlink power, such as Dawnali.com, Jwcey Forum and a host of other websites online. Commenting is a good way to get juice, however, be aware of spamming other websites. When you spam, you are basically spreading your links without adding any value to the comment section of the blog. Most Blog owners will simply delete your comments if they feel it’s not related to the post. So make sure you obey that rule. Search engines constantly find ways to banish spamming.

If you are just trying to promote a product or get sales, then the comments section of an article is the worst place you could possibly post backlinks. Use any method other than commenting. Why? It’s tacky and people despise others who leave affiliate links in comments section. Those types of comments are also annoying. Instead, you should go to places that welcome affiliate links and allow free link advertising such as IncreaseTraffic.co Money Forum, BackPage and Craigslist. Of the sites listed, your free ads disappear and you lose backlink juice, all except for Money Forum.

The odds are, if you leave poor quality comments you could lose juice or even worst, be banned from search engine traffic altogether. This wouldn’t be smart at all to anyone who wants to own a successful blog or website.

If you like this post or find it useful, please be sure to share with friends and family on sites like Facebook, Google Plus and Twitter. Don’t let your friends pay for useless services. And thanks for reading.
